Plumbers play a major role in the sanitation and comfort of society due to the need for clean drinking water, waste removal, hot water and warm or cool air. Modern plumbing protects us from many harmful diseases that would otherwise run rampant in our society.

A handyman is usually not a plumber and a plumber is usually not a handyman. Licensed plumbers are very knowledgable about plumbing systems, whereas a handyman is more knowledgable about tile, drywall, etc.
